This MSc Nursing programme builds on appropriate undergraduate level
study and personal professional experience to enhance the student’s
leadership skills and research capacity for the development of nursing
knowledge. The academic content of the course is broad and varied, but
there is a few key areas in which there is particular emphasis on –
leadership, Quality issues, Change Management, Health Assessment, Caring
for an aging population and Women, Gender and Health. There is a very
strong focus on clinical skills in the course but these will be taught
in top class University Laboratories. This course is designed to develop
and enhance a student’s nursing practice knowledge and skills.
Sharpening analytical and critical thinking skills while developing
essential knowledge and skills, enabling students to provide high
quality care and positive outcomes in clinical practice. This degree is
delivered over two academic years, leaving students with the summer
terms free.

9. Cognition and Mental Health in older people 7.5 ECTS
