Profession Development Program (PDP)

DUAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Introduction

This offer is about supplying the applicant with the prospect of a permanent employment in a German company.

Present German regulations for the permanent employment of foreigners require that

The applicant either takes part in a vocational education for at least two years, organized part time at a professional school and part time at the employer. This type of education is called “dual education”. The applicant (apprentice) will receive a salary during the education.

Or

The applicant takes part in a procedure called Foreign Skills Approval (FSA) in order that the qualification which he has obtained outside Germany will officially be recognized as being equivalent to the corresponding German exam. This has to be acknowledged in an individual administrative statement. The statement may rule out that the applicant has to attend some defined courses of continuous learning with particular exams in order to complete his skills.

Language Learning and Vocational Studies

The applicant acquires German language skills at the certified level B.2.2 corresponding to the Common European Reference Frame (CERF). This is necessary to attend lessons taught in German. Our company necessarily requires the command of German at this level for any professional activity.

The education includes alternate attendance of a public professional school and practical education in the company. Lessons at school will be organized in compact blocks of time of at least one week each. The applicant will be accommodated during this time at the location of the school. The education as a whole will regularly last for three years. Scholars with pretty good records may pass the exam after two years if this is individually applied for.

Our offer includes the applicant´s participation in a course of intensive language learning or a language training side-along to the education. We retain the right to cancel the contract with the applicant if he doesn`t manage to pass the B2.2 exam within one year.

As soon as the applicant obtains the German B 2.2 language certificate – but no sooner than six months after the start of the education -, we shall assist the applicant to succeed in the Foreign Skill Approval procedure. If the administration stated that the applicant would have to acquire some further skills, we shall promote his participation in the appropriate courses, as far as they will be available in our federal state and given that they provide the opportunity to shorten the education to less than two years.

Medical Examination

Furthermore, this offer is made under the prerequisite that the applicant will take part in an industrial medical examination of his health, thus stating that he doesn´t carry a detectable infectious illness. The applicant has to forward this statement to us before he is actually immigrating, and the statement must not be older than two months.
Probationary Period

The contract of vocational education will be offered with a trial period of three months. During this probationary period we shall be entitled to cancel the contract within a short timeline if we should not be content with your personal performance; we need not provide explicit explanations.

Remuneration

The applicant receives the same remuneration during his education that we regularly grant to German apprentices:
450-650 EUROS

We additionally offer to the applicant during his education:

- the applicant will be accommodated in a furnished room of his own in the apartment building which is reserved for our apprentices. The building has a furnished kitchen for the preparation of food bought.
- the applicant may enjoy up to three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during the whole week such as meals are prepared for current purposes.
-We shall compensate the expenditures for the required industrial medical check in the home country if the bills are presented; costs above the equivalent of 100 € must be confirmed by us in advance of the ordering of the medical services.

Compensations offered voluntarily in addition to basic remunerations:

On the day of the applicant’s first arrival in Germany we pay the cost of travelling by train and/or public transport from the airport.

The applicant can participate free of charge in the German language training. We bear the cost of travelling to the language learning center by public transport. The time needed for language learning will be regarded as regular working hours.

The applicant won´t have to pay neither for attending the vocational school nor for participating in the professional exam nor for accommodation at the venue of the courses.

Permanent employment:

With this letter of intention we claim to be interested in employing the applicant permanently once he has successfully passed his vocational education in Germany or he will have obtained the final FSA statement.

In the event of finally offering a permanent job to the applicant the pay will be the same the same wage as paid to German employees in the same position.
